This information can be found on page 40 of the i5300 user manual: i5300 User Manual. What is the Printer Label Library (Previously YB Parts Database)?
- Download the most recent i5300 YB File Update corresponding to your printer model (300dpi or 600 dpi).
Note: Updates are released frequently, the version shown in the screenshot may not reflect the most recent YB parts database release. Download the release with the highest revision number.
- Open and Extract All.
- Select the file location for the folder. Select Extract.
- Copy and save the .json file to the root of a USB flash drive.
Note: The YB file needs to be in the proper format on the root of the USB drive or it will not recognize it. The file name has to be i5300-300.json or i5300-600.json. If a new download overwrites a previous download and it adds (1) or (2) at end of file name, it cannot be i5300(1).json This is due to an automatic naming scheme that occurs when a user downloads a file multiple times in Windows, otherwise you will get an "insert USB drive to import new files" error.
- Connect the USB flash drive to the USB host port on the printer.
- On the home screen, select Files.
- Select the three dots in the top right corner.
Note: You may need to change Internal Memory to External Memory so the USB drive is recognized.
- Select Import Y/B Files.
- Select Yes on the Import Notification message to update the Label Library files.
- Wait while the Label Library files install. Once the label library file completes, select OK.
