Upload Directly From Your Phone

 

This article will use the "Ink Free Regular" font type as an example.

 

  1. From a web browser on your mobile device (Google, Safari, etc...) search "Fonts" or "Fonts Downloads".

  2. Find a trusted source such as Google Fonts or Microsoft Font library, locate your desired font in their library, and download the font to your phone. 

  3. Open the Express Labels Application.

  4. From the main menu, tap the hamburger icon on the top left of the screen:

     

  5. Select the "Fonts" menu option:

     

  6. Select the yellow plus button on the bottom right of the display:

     

  7. Select the Local option.

     

  8. Select the "fonts" folder:

     

  9. The font you downloaded should appear in the list. Select your font:

     

  10. Once you select your font, both Android and Apple devices will open directly to the lists of fonts, and you should see your new font in the list. You can now use your new font when adjusting your font settings when editing a label.

     

 

Upload Font Via Windows PC What You Will Need

 

You will need a valid font file type such as TTF (True Type Font) or OTF (Open Type Font) which can be downloaded directly from the web, or you can find font files saved directly on your computer from this file path: C:\Windows\Fonts 

Download and save the file somewhere you feel comfortable finding it again (Desktop, downloads folder, etc...) Once you have the file downloaded to your PC, the two methods you have to upload the file are via emailing the file to yourself, or uploading via cloud storage. 

 

 

Upload By Emailing The File To Yourself

 

  1. When you have the your desired font file saved on your computer, email the file to yourself or an email your mobile device has access to.

  2. From your mobile device, download the font file from your email attachments.

  3. Open the Express Labels application.

  4. From the main menu, tap the hamburger icon on the top left of the screen:

     

  5. Select the "Fonts" menu option:

     

  6. Select the Local option.

     

  7. Select the "fonts" folder:

     

  8. The font you downloaded should appear in the list. Select your font:

     


  9. Once you select your font, both Android and Apple devices will open directly to the lists of fonts, and you should see your new font in the list. You can now use your new font when adjusting your font settings when editing a label.

     

 

Upload via Cloud Service for Android and iOS Devices
 

  1. On your computer, login to your Cloud service provider account (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or iCloud for iOS).

 

  1. Upload your chosen font from where you previously saved it on your computer onto your preferred cloud storage  (Google Drive will be used in this example).


     

 

 

 

 

Note: Your cloud storage may not update right away and you might not see your file. Update times can vary depending on your cloud storage provider, and your subscription type with your provider. 

 

  1. Once the font file is on your cloud storage, launch Express Labels Mobile App on your phone.

 

  1. From the home screen, select the hamburger menu on the top left.

  1. Select Fonts.

  1. Select + at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Select Cloud service provider and browse for the folder where you saved your font.

 
 
Note: These next screenshots may not match exactly what appears on your display depending on your version of IOS (Apple) or Android.
 
    1. Once you click share on an Apple device, your device will open to your default cloud storage. If you do not see the file in your default cloud storage, choose the correct cloud drive on the left hand side of the screen:

       

    2. Once you click share on an Android device, your device will open to your default cloud storage. If you do not see the file in your default cloud storage, tap the hamburger icon on the top left of the screen and select the cloud storage option that you stored the file on:

       
 
  1. Once you select your font, both Android and Apple devices will open directly to the lists of fonts, and you should see your new font in the list. You can now use your new font when adjusting your font settings when editing a label.
