Importing MarkWare Files into Brady Workstation

Import label files from MarkWare™ software versions 3.7 and higher. Imported labels may not represent label objects 100%. Manual placement and sizing of label objects may be required. See: Issues Importing MarkWare Files into Brady Workstation

• Note: As of version 3.15.0.7 Print Partner does not currently support MarkWare template files (*.tpl). MarkWare template files must be converted to Brady Workstation templates (*.bwt) before they can be opened in Print Partner. 

Opening and Converting MarkWare Templates and Label Files



1. Launch the Custom Designer or Custom Designer Lite app.

• Note: Custom Designer Lite only supports MarkWare files and templates created for Brady printers. 

2. Select Open, Choose Import MarkWare.



3. Navigate / browse to the MarkWare file or template that you want to import. Use the dropdown to display MarkWare file or template extensions.



4. Select the file and click Open.

6. Save the template to convert it to the Brady Workstation template format (*.bwt). Saving files will convert them to the Brady Workstation label file (*.bwt) format. Templates converted to the *.bwt file type can now by opened using Print Partner.
