Continuous Media Not Compatible with BBP30/31/33 Model Printers
The BBP33, BBP31 and BBP30 have an older generation cutter for media cut-off that is not compatible with several specialty media parts that have exceptionally aggressive adhesive for specialized Product and Electronics ID applications. When using these media parts in the older printers, the cutter jams due to adhesive buildup on the blade.
The next generation of all 3 of these printers have a new generation cutter design and anti-adhesive-buildup coating allowing these materials to be cut without issue. These part numbers work in BBP35 and BBP37 printers for both cut-off and XY cutting (cutting out shapes) because these printers have a different cutter technology preventing adhesive buildup.Installing one of these materials in a BBP30/31/33 causes error:
- Invalid Supply
- Error reading media memory cell
- Reload or replace media. If error persists, contact technical support
- Error 51
- Back feeding with Error 55
- Media Not Detected/No Media Detected
