TitleBrady Printer Drivers - Checking Printer Status Failed or Driver Installation Failed
Body

Note: We are aware of a recent Windows 10 update that is blocking driver installation of some Brady printers. See this article for more information: "This operation requires an interactive window station" Driver Install Error

Issues/Symptoms

  • The "Checking Printer Status Failed" or "Driver Installation Failed" error most often occurs when the printer is connected to the PC before running the driver .exe. The printer will be listed in Devices and Printers as "Unspecified".
  • The Driver install fails every time at System Check and will not finish installing the printer.
