Issue

"Check media, replace cartridge" message displays on the LCD screen. 

Troubleshooting

 
  1. Verify the cartridge is placed in the printer correctly and the locking lever is closed. Refer to BMP21-PLUS / M210 - How to Load a Cartridge for further instructions.
 
  1. Verify if there are labels left in the cartridge.  Each roll of materials has up to 10% extra included on the roll. Once the smart cell counts to zero, you will not be able to use these extra labels. Can I Reset the Smart Cell Microchip Counter on the Label Roll?
 
  1. Try another cartridge. If available, try a different lot number. 
 
  1. Clean the printer. Refer to BMP21 / BMP21-PLUS / BMP21 LAB / M210 - How to Clean Printer.
 
  1. Make sure that the label cartridges are manufactured by Brady and have the Authentic logo.
