The BBP85 gives an error 65. 

Cause

The printer requires both label media and a thermal print ribbon. The BBP85 detects installed ribbons using two metal pogo pins that make contact with a microchip on the installed ribbon. Either the ribbon is not installed, installed incorrectly, or damaged. 

This issue can also occur if a piece of protective foam is not removed (new printers only): BBP85 Giving Error 55 and 65 Out of the Box

Resolution

1. Make sure you have installed ribbon and labels. 
2. Make sure the ribbon is installed correctly: BBP85 - Loading Label and Ribbon Media
3. Inspect the ribbon flag to ensure the chip is present and undamaged.
