Issue

UNABLE TO PRINT-80, Clear media path cutter. The cutter blade does not retract back to the home position.

Cause

This can be caused by adhesive buildup or label debris in the cutter mechanism. 

Troubleshooting

  1. Clean the cutter: BBP30 / BBP31 / BBP33 / S3100 - How to Clean Your Printer.

 

  1. If cleaning does not resolve, then mechanical failure is the likely cause. 

 

The BBP33 printer is no longer repaired or supported: Obsolete Brady Printers - No longer supported or repaired.
