The following must be completed before configuring Ethernet settings:
- The Ethernet cable is connected to the printer and to a hub or host.
- Check the current network settings for the IP address of the printer.
- To view settings on the printer screen:
- On the printer, select the Interface menu.
- Select Ethernet.
- Select individual settings to their current settings.
- To print current settings:
- On the printer, select the Interface menu.
- Select Interface Info.

Use the Printer to Configure Ethernet
- Select the Interface menu.
- Select Ethernet.
- Use the submenus to change the IP address, Subnet Mask and Gateway as needed for the network.
- After entering each value, press the right function button
to save it.
Use the Web Browser to Configure Ethernet
- Enter the IP address of the printer in the address bar. A sign in message opens.
- Enter the name and password for the printer and click Sign in. The default username and password are as follows.

- Username: Admin
- Password: Password
- Click LAN configuration in the configuration window.
- Use the System, Protocol, and Network tabs to change settings.
SMTP
Set up SMTP to monitor printer status changes and send e-mail notifications to registered administrators.
- Enter the IP address of the printer in the address bar. A sign in message opens.
- Enter the username and password for the printer, and then click Sign in. The default username and password are as follows.

- Password: password
- Click LAN configuration in the configuration window.
- Click the Protocol tab.
- Enable SMTP and then click Configuration.
- Configure the following settings and click Submit.
