The i5100 model needs special settings to function with certain THTEP sizes to maintain calibration.
Cause
Some of the smaller THTEP label sizes need to feed past the printhead in order to reach the Tear-off plate or Cutter (depending on model). When the material backfeeds, the raised profile of the material catches the printhead bracket preventing the material from positioning itself correctly.
The end result is that (depending on the size of the label) a number of labels will be printed off center which corrects itself after some labels.
The affected sizes for the THTEP parts are:
- THTEP-01-7593
- THTEP-02-7593
- THTEP-03-7593
- THTEP-04-7593
- THTEP-06-7593
- THTEP-07-7593
- THTEP-08-7593
- THTEP-09-7593
(and all other custom sizes with a height below 20 mm or 0,78 inches)
Resolution
We recommend that users that want to use the mentioned sizes above on the i5100 platform disable the backfeed on their device via the Windows driver.
Note: Disabling the backfeed will also disable the following options:
- Adjusting feed position
- Cutter functionality
