TitleWraptor / Wraptor A6500 - Sending files to printer without naming them
Body
When printing to a Wraptor or a Wraptor A6500 the user must manually name each print job before it can be sent to the printer. However, there is a setting in the driver that will avoid the prompt by using either a static name or a string of text followed by a sequential number.
  • Note: LabelMark and most Brady Workstation apps will still prompt for a file name so this solution is more designed for situations where non-Brady software is being used or jobs are being sent automatically through Data Automation.

1. Navigate to Devices and Printers. Right Click the Wraptor/A6500 driver and choose "Printer Properties".

2. Click Advanced.

3. Click on Printing Defaults in the bottom left of the window.

4. Click on Advanced.

5. After that, click on the Properties button next to Paper Size.

6. If you'd like to use one static file name for all labels sent to the Wraptor, click on the first radio button under "Wraptor File Name".
  • Note: This will result in new files overwriting old files as the file name will be the same for all files sent to the Wraptor/A6500.

7. "Auto-create variable name" - This will send each file with the same beginning string (which the user can set manually) followed by a sequential number which can be used to distinguish each print job from the others.

This setting must be changed in one other place as well to confirm that the change will be permanent.

1. Go back into Printer Properties.

2. In the General tab you want to click Preferences on the bottom right, then follow the same set of steps listed above as the menu structure is the same here.
