Upgrading the Wraptor Firmware

Note: Wraptors running firmware 1.31 and older will need to come into repair for a Firmware Upgrade. Others can be upgraded in the field. If you are running firmware newer than 1.31, contact Brady Technical Support to obtain the firmware download.

Note: You must use a PC with an internet connection and have a compact flash card installed in the Wraptor to complete the Wraptor OS upgrade

Part 1 - File Management Utility (Obsolete)

Part 2 - Wraptor

  1. Click on the File Tab, then select Exit
  2. Select Upgrade.

  6. A message will be on the Wraptor screen asking to copy the Upgrade files. Select Yes and the Upgrade will continue.
  7. The machine should say updating files, then ask you to reboot the Wraptor once more. Note: After the reboot, the screen may be blank. If no activity is witnessed after 15 minutes, then shut the power off, and then turn it back on again.
  8. Cycle the power, and now it should boot up to the File screen and be ready to perform.
