Issue
Brady's printers do not have Wake on LAN (WoL) functionality, this means they will not wake up when a print job is sent after going into power save mode. If a networked printer intermittently does not accept print jobs, check to see if power save mode is enabled.
What is Wake on LAN?
Wake on LAN (WoL) is an industry standard protocol for remotely waking networked devices from standby.
This applies to the following printer models:
- M611
- BMP51
- BMP61
- i3300
- S3100
- BBP31
- BBP33
- BBP35/37
- BBP85
Workaround
Power save and sleep modes can be disabled. Reference your printer's user manual or this knowledge base to find instructions for your specific printer model.
