Body | The Gap Sensor in the BBP11/12 printers is a fixed sensor (it cannot be moved as in other printers), this means there are some gapped labels that just won't work in the BBP11/12.
The Gap Sensor detects differences in material thickness (or translucence) as labels pass over it. This sensor can detect differences between the thickness of a label and the thickness of the label liner. This is how a printer calibrates and will only work when the actual labels themselves pass over the sensor. When the vertical gap between labels is passing over the sensor, the printer will not be able to calibrate because the actual labels themselves will not be seen by the sensor.
The only fix for this issue is to have a custom label created. |
