Issue

Error 64, 65, 66 and Error 67 "Error reading ribbon memory cell. Insert ribbon memory cell again or replace ribbon." displays on the S3700 printer.

Cause
 
  • The smart cell on the ribbon is not being read or read correctly. 
  • Data may be corrupted.
  • The Ribbon cell is the wrong version or Printer class is not valid or Printer version is not valid. 

Troubleshooting
 
  1. Replace the ribbon if it is at the end.
 
  1. Open the cover, remove and re-install the ribbon. The message automatically clears.
