Remove Drivers Using the Seagull Driver Removal Wizard
Body
Issue
Users often mistakenly install Seagull drivers for Brady printers because they show up first in search engine results. This usually occurs with the IP series printers, which should use the Brady 3.10 driver when used with Brady Workstation and LabelMark 6.
Over time, Windows accumulates installed drivers and saves their dependency files to multiple locations throughout the operating system with no simple method to remove them. This can cause driver clutter or driver conflicts.
Using the Seagull Driver Removal Wizard
1. Download the attached driver file.
2. Run the driver file as administrator (if you can't perform this step, reach out to your IT admin).
3. Click next through the wizard until you come to this screen. Make sure "Remove printer drivers" is selected before clicking Next.
4. Choose advanced printer driver removal options and click Next.
5. Choose the printer(s) that you want to remove and click Next.
6. Select the printer drivers you want to remove and click Next, this may be auto selected based on your selection in the previous step.
7. Choose the USB ports to remove. These are created when the printer is first connected. Windows associates this port with a specific driver, this may be auto selected based on the printer selected in step 5.
8. Select components to remove. This may be auto selected based on the printer selected in step 5.
9. Choose files to remove. These may be auto-selected based on your selection in step 5.
10. Click finish, this will remove the printer, printer driver, and all related files. You do not need to reboot your computer.
Removing Seagull Drivers
These options may appear in older versions of Seagull drivers. By default, the Seagull driver wizard will leave a folder on the Desktop named Seagull. Inside that folder is an application named DriverWizard.exe.
When running the DriverWizard with Seagull drivers on the system it will give you the option to Automatically Remove all Drivers by Seagull.
Follow the prompts and the wizard will automatically select and remove all Seagull drivers on the system. The computer will most likely require a restart when complete.
