Issue

The displays a "print head open" error. 

Affected models

  • IP Series (Obsolete)
  • PR Series (Obsolete)
  • i7100 
  • BBP72

 

Troubleshooting

  1. Make sure the print head is closed and fully latched into place.

 

  1. Power cycle the printer completely - remove the power cable and wait 20 seconds, then restore power.

 

  1. If the print head is latched in place and power cycling does not resolve, it's possible the printer has mechanical failure. Reach out to technical support for your region to setup a repair: Global Brady Technical Support Contact Information.

Important: The IP and PR printer is obsolete and no longer repaired: Obsolete Brady Printers - No longer supported or repaired.
