Body

We have seen cases where the PR300+ or i7100 printer will stutter, back feed between labels, or exhibit other choppy label feed behavior while printing. These troubleshooting steps assume the printer has been loaded and calibrated correctly for the installed material.

1. Turn off tear-off mode on the printer and in the driver.

  • On the printer display press Menu > Setup > Print Param > arrow right to "Tearing Off" > hit Enter > toggle to off.
  • In the driver Printer Properties > Advanced Setup > Printing Defaults > Advanced Setup > Options > Make sure "Normal Mode" is selected under Label Out Position.

2. Turn off Bidirectional Communication and Print Optimization.

  • Note: Driver setting changes may not immediately refresh in the label creation software, it is recommended to restart the software and power cycle the printer after making these changes.

In the driver Printer Properties > Ports > deselect the "Bidirectional Communication" tick box.
