Body

Configuring PR Plus Network Settings Using DHCP

1. Connect a network cable to the Ethernet port on the PR printer

  • Note: We recommend testing to confirm connectivity of the network cable. You can connect the cable to a PC or other previously networked device and ping the IP. This rules out cable damage or disabled network drop ports when troubleshooting connectivity issues.

2. Hit the Menu on the front panel of the printer

3. Scroll to the right until you see Setup and hit the down arrow

4. Scroll to the right until you see Interfaces and hit the down arrow

5. Scroll to the right until you see Ethernet and hit the down arrow

6. Hit the Enter symbol in the middle of the keypad and switch DHCP to on.

7. Hit the Enter symbol again to exit

8. Hold down the center enter key for 3 seconds to get back to the home screen

9. Power cycle the printer, the DHCP should grab an IP address

10. Go back into Menu and hit enter on Short Status to confirm an IP address has been assigned

11. Down arrow until you see IP address. Note the address. See Next Steps at the end of this article.

Configuring PR Plus Network Settings with a Static IP

Note: You will need to configure the Gateway IP address in the printer interface settings. Usually this will end with a .1 or .254. For example if you IP address is 192.168.20.35 your Gateway will probably be 192.168.20.1. You can also get this address by going to a command prompt on a PC on the same network and type IPCONFIG

1. Navigate back to the network Interface settings

2. Turn off DHCP - hit enter to toggle the selection, then press enter again to lock the selection in place

3. Arrow left to IP Address and enter the static IP address, hit enter to modify, hit enter again to save

4. Arrow left to Gateway, use the same process to modify the gateway address

5. Open a command prompt and ping the address to confirm successful network connectivity
