Printer Label Library

The Printer Label Library is a database of label and ribbon part information that enables the printer to work optimally with various supplies. 

Update the Printer Label Library files periodically to make sure that the printer has data for any new label supplies. Update the files if you ordered a custom label supply from Brady and it came with new Label Library files. 

There are two ways to update the Printer Label Library: directly through Brady Workstation or online from the website. 


Update the Printer Label Library directly through Brady Workstation
 
  1. Connect the printer to a computer with a USB cord. The computer must be connected to the internet. 
 
  1. Open Brady Workstation. 
 
  1. Select Printer Updates. 
 
  1. Find the M710 printer that is connected.
 
  1. Select More Actions. 
 
  1. Select Update Now on the Printer Label Library tab if your printer is connected to the computer.

If your printer is disconnected from the computer select Download. The Printer Label Library file will need to be put on a USB drive and connect the USB to the printer. 
 
If your computer is not connected to the internet, select Browse. You will select a Printer Label Library file on your computer. If you do not have the current file, you will need to download the file or transfer the file to that computer and find the file. 
 
  1. Select OK on the pop-up message. 
Important: Make sure the printer is plugged in so the printer does not shut off during the update. Do not unplug the USB cable or printer power cable.

  1. Do not exit out of Brady Workstation. The Label Library download in progress message displays.
 
  1. Once the update is complete, the Printer pop-up displays. Select OK.
 
  1. Restart the M710 Label Printer by turning it off and back on. 


Update the Printer Label Library Online
 
  1. Download the latest parts database.

 

  1. Select Begin Download.
 
  1. Locate and open the downloaded file.

 

  1. Right-click and choose "Extract all".

 

  1. Select the file destination and select Extract. 
 
  1. Open the Extracted folder.
 
  1. Copy the Excel and BIN file to the root of your flash drive. 

 

  1. Safely remove the flash drive and insert it into your M710.

 

  1. On the home screen, scroll right and select Import Files.

 

  1. Select Y & B Files. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the import. The new values take effect as soon as the import completes.
