Open Files

You may see two types of files denoted by a pencil or printer icon:
  • Pencil.png These files have names ending in .lbl were created directly on the M710 printer. These files open in the editor and can be modified and printed.
  • Printer.pngThese files have names ending in .prn were created in Brady Workstation and can only be printed. Once you select the .prn file, the printer asks if you want to print. Tap Yes.

Only one .lbl file will display on the screen at a time. When opening the label file, if the stored data does not fit on the installed label supply, an error message displays. While you do not have to use the exact label part number used when saving the file, you must use a label supply that can accommodate the data in the file being opened.
