Body | BackfeedBackfeed is available through the Config menu on the M710 printer. This option only applies to continuous label supplies.
After the continuous label supply prints and cuts, there is 1" of label material that remains ahead of the printhead where it is not printed on. In order not to waste the label material, the printer backfeeds the label supply before printing. If the label supply has been in the printer awhile, the roller can leave an indentation on the label. When retracted into the printer, this can cause print quality to be bad on the indentation.
To resolve this issue, select the No Backfeed checkbox. Print will start at the current position leaving about 1" of blank label at the leading edge.
- Press FN + SETUP.
- Use the navigation keys to move through the menu until Config is highlighted.
- Press to accept the choice and display the printer configuration settings.
- Use the navigation keys to check or uncheck No Backfeed.
- Press the down arrow to navigate to OK and press to accept the changes.
If printing multiple labels, you may want to avoid the excess blank area at the beginning of each label. Uncheck the No Backfeed check box. If the first label is unsatisfactory, reprint just the first label. No Backfeed checkedNo Backfeed unchecked |
