Issues/Symptoms
  • The M611 displays full ribbon remaining, but the display reads "out of ribbon" when a user attempts to print. This occurs on multiple brand new ribbons
  • The printer does not detect a USB connection to a PC. 

Troubleshooting

1. If possible, try loading a second ribbon to confirm the issue not isolated to a single defective ribbon cartridge. Note that ribbon refers to the black thermal transfer material - not the roll of label material. 

2. Try updating the Y&B parts database: 

Note: Contact Brady Technical Support if the printer does not detect a flash drive or USB cable when connecting the printer to the PC.
