Issue

The Out of ribbon error message displays on the printer.

Cause

The ribbon has run out, broken or has excessive slack.

Troubleshooting
 
  1. Replace the ribbon with a compatible ribbon: Ribbon and Label Compatibility.
 
  1. If there is slack in the ribbon, remove the ribbon and rotate the take-up spool clockwise.
