Issue

Faint print, no print, or spotty print on the labels.


Troubleshooting
 

  1. First make sure you are using the correct label/ribbon combination: IP Series Ribbon Compatibility Chart

 

  1. Verify the materials are installed correctly: IP Series - Loading Ribbon and Label Media.

 

  1. Make sure next that the printer is calibrating and feeding one label series at a time: How to Configure Correct Sensor Settings on IP Series Printers.

 

  1. Try a label profile/test print on the printer to see if it prints standalone.

 

  1. If the print is only faint, turn down the print speed and increase the print density through the driver. Please note that running the print head at a higher heat may shorten the life of this component. 
  • Go to Control Panel>Devices and Printers, right click on IP300/600 and select Printer Properties.
  • Select General tab > Preferences > Advanced > Custom Settings Properties > Print Density to increase heat level.
  • IP Series - Adjust Print Speed



If there is print missing in the same spot on each label, there may be pixels burned out in the printhead. Unfortunately, the printer is no longer repaired or supported: Obsolete Brady Printers - No longer supported or repaired.
