How to Load Labels and Ribbon in the IP Series Printer
Loading Labels
1. Take out cradle in back of printer, Squeeze Green Tab to pull off right hand side of cradle.
2. Load labels so the labels feed over the roll and toward you.
3. Put right side of cradle back on.
4. Set whole cradle back into printer resting on the smart cell sensors in back of printer.
5. Open print head button on left side green half circle.
6. Feed labels under print head.
7. Labels go between the green label guides, Green dial on right hand side of floor or printer makes this larger and small. You want the label guides just on the touching the label,(Not to tight or labels will not feed.
8. Feed labels through front screen in rectangle with tear off teeth.
Loading the Ribbon
1. Open print head (Green half circle on left side).
2. Install ribbon spindle, in the right hand side of printer is square hole, match this with the square side of the spindle and then left hand side slides into cut out area.
3. Take out the take up spindle (spindle with green bar going across it) Press the Green thumb lever tuck the ribbon underneath the green bar. To remove the used ribbon you will have to either slide the take up spindle out from under the used ribbon or manually unwind the used ribbon off of the take up spindle. Reinstall the take up spindle, insert right hand side first then left.
4. Turn green Dial on right hand side toward you/front of printer several times.
5. Close Print head.
Removing the Used Ribbon
Tear the ribbon.
Remove the take-up spindle from the printer.
While pushing the green tab, remove the used ribbon off of the take-up spindle.
