Load Cartridges in the BMP41 and M410
- To open the printer cover, push or pull up on the finger tab.
- Holding the hinged fin, drop the cartridge into the cartridge bay, pushing gently until it snaps into place.
- Slide the locking lever to the right to lock the cartridge into place.
- Close the cover, pushing down until it snaps into place.
Although the printer can be operated with the cover open, it is recommended that the cover remain closed during printing and standby operation.
Remove the cartridge
- To open the printer cover, push or pull up on the finger tab.
- To unlock the cartridge, slide the locking lever to the left.
- On the back of the printer, push the round eject button to pop the cartridge up. Then, grasping the hinged fin, pull the cartridge out of the cartridge bay.
If the cartridge is empty, recycle according to local regulations. The media gauge at the bottom of the display screen indicates how much media remains. Store the cartridge in a cool, dry place. Unused media will last up to six months before deterioration sets in.
