Clean the print head and supply sensors whenever you change labels or ribbon.
Use one of the following materials to clean the printer:
- Cotton swab pre-soaked (PCK-6)
- Vacuum / blower brush
- Compressed air
Important: Use 100% Acetone or Ethanol. DO NOT use medical alcohol, which may damage the print head.
- Always turn off the printer before cleaning the print head.
- Allow the print head to cool for a minimum of one minute.
- Use a swab (PCK-6) to clean the print head surface.
- Rotate the platen roller and wipe it thoroughly with PCK-6.
- Wipe the Tear Bar/Peel Bar with PCK-6.
- Use compressed air or vacuum to clean the sensor.
- Wipe the exterior with a water-dampened cloth, as needed.
- Brush or vacuum the interior of the printer, as needed.
