Clean the print head and supply sensors whenever you change labels or ribbon.
Use one of the following materials to clean the printer:
- Cotton swab
- Lint-free cloth
- Vacuum / blower brush
- Compressed air
- 90% isopropyl alcohol
Important: Use 100% Acetone or Ethanol. DO NOT use medical alcohol, which may damage the print head.
- Always turn off the printer before cleaning the print head.
- Allow the print head to cool for a minimum of one minute.
- Use a cotton swab to clean the print head surface.
- Rotate the platen roller and wipe it thoroughly with a cotton swab or lint-free cloth.
- Wipe the Tear Bar/Peel Bar.
- Use compressed air or vacuum to clean the sensor.
- Wipe the exterior with a water-dampened cloth, as needed.
- Brush or vacuum the interior of the printer, as needed.
