How to add objects to a new label file in Express Labels app:

1. Click on an option in the Start A New Label ribbon along the top. For example: Blank, Cable Flag, Cable Wrap. Sleeve or Patch Panel. A label appears in the Supply Defaults screen.

2. Tap in the label and the bottom half of the screen lists objects you can Insert: Text Box, Barcode, Symbol, Image, Date/Time, Shape or Line.

3. Tap the desired object type to get the options for that object type. 

Text: Type desired data, then click outside of the keyboard area, can then change format options


Image File Types Allowed: *.bmp, *.gif, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.png

Barcodes: Code 128 (Default), Code 128A, Code 128B, Code 128C, DataMatrix, EAN 8/JAN 8, EAN 8/JAN 8 Ext 2, EAN 8/JAN 8, EAN 8/JAN 8 Ext 5, EAN 13/JAN 13, EAN 13/JAN 13 Ext 2, EAN 13/JAN 13 Ext 5, GS1-128, HIBC, Interleaved 2 of 5, PDF417, QR, UPC-A, UPC-E


Symbol: Select symbol category (defaults to Arrows), then scroll through images and tap on desired symbol

Date/Time: Use Current means to take today's date from the phone. Tap on the date displayed in Format field to get choice of formats (Date, Time, Date+Time, etc), enable Refresh on Open or Refresh on Print if you want the date/time data to refresh to current date/time when file is opened or printed. 

Shape: Select desired shape, can toggle shape fill on or off, and enable it to appear on every label in the file or not.

Line: Select Horizontal or Vertical line and it will appear on the label. You can drag either end to make it longer or shorter and drag it to desired location on label.
