Body | What is Reverse Print?Reverse printing is the process of using the ribbon material to fill in the negative space "background" of a label instead of printing the actual text. The letters are then defined within the unprinted space. Reverse / Negative / Inverse Print in Brady Workstation's Custom DesignerReverse Printing on the Wraptor A6500This requires significantly more heat application from the print head, often exceeding the thermal limits of the ribbon. If this occurs the ribbon will melt, fuse or weld to the label surface, and may cause the ribbon to break in half. WorkaroundsReduce Printheat Heat - Users can work around this by reducing print head heat of the A6500. Note that head adjustment settings are read from the material's microchip, so manually adjusted heat settings from the Wraptor A6500 display will not persist after a reboot or when material is reloaded.
1. Select the gear icon. 2. Select Printing. 3. Select Print Energy, then use the slider to adjust for lighter printing.Custom Parts - Users can also request modified materials that have adjusted heat settings programmed into the media's microchip.
