Brady Drivers in Windows Server Operating Systems
While Brady's drivers are not tested for use on Windows Server operating systems, some users have successfully installed some of our printer model drivers on their server and function without issues.
Driver deployment should have access to all required driver files that would install by running the driver wizard. However, our print drivers are not Package Aware. I want to install my Brady Printer on a Print Server. Are Brady's Printer Drivers Package-Aware? In some cases we've found it necessary to manually point to the driver INF: How to access the inf file to manually install Brady printer drivers Example using the Brady i5100 print driver package:
1. Place i5100.inf folder on server.
2. Do an "Add Printer" and choose "Printer I want is not listed". Choose "Add Local printer with manual settings." Leave on LPT port. Hit next. Choose "have Disk." Click on Browse and point to the i5100.inf folder that you created. Finish the procedure. This creates an i5100.inf folder on the Server.
3. On server, go to Devices and Printers, select "add a printer".
4. Enter the printer path in "add printer" wizard.Standard Windows 7, 8, or 10 driver troubleshooting would apply in Windows Server environments.
