SOFTWARE RELEASE NOTES
Key Updates:M211 Printer support:
- The M211 Portable Label Printer is an industrial, cartridge-based printer which is supported by ELM.
- Users connect to M211 via Bluetooth.
- M211 is automatically detected by ELM when it is in range.
- We can design labels in Brady workstation using Custom Designer, Custom lite, Text labels, Patch Panel and Terminal block. Import them from ELM and print via M211.
Note: M211 parts won’t be supported by Brady Workstation until BWS April release. - Shutdown timer option is available where users can set auto-shutoff from 5 to 30 minutes. Shutdown timer is set to 30 mins by default.
- Feed and Cut buttons are implemented, so the user can Feed and Cut on-demand from ELM.
- When the battery percentage falls below 10% user gets a low battery toast message.
- ELM supports all M211 cartridges.
Wrap app:
- Wrap app is updated so it is much easier for the user to create a label.
- Wrap app opens with a setup screen with 3 options to select Continuous, Pre-sized Self-Laminating and Continuous Self-Laminating.
- On the setup screen we can choose the label to be a Fit To Content label or set a certain length for the label.
- New menu item Wrap Setup is added to the editor menu.
- Auto fit, Wiremarker and bottom justified are defaulted to ON.
- Label setup has only Supply and Length options.
Part Selection:
- Search filter is introduced where users can select supply via catalog numbers, width, length or supply type.
- Parts list is updated and populated according to current release functionality.
- Filter menu is added with supply type chips to tap on including Recent, Pre-sized, Continuous, Terminal Block, Wraps, Sleeves and Custom.
- Recent will filter by current recent list.
- Multiple chips can be selected and the popup will scroll vertically if necessary.
- If a user is connected to a printer, a chip for that printer model will automatically appear as one of the pre-selected filters.
Label editor:
- When a user creates a landscape continuous label with Fit To Content, newly added objects are added at the end of any other existing objects, extending the label length as necessary.
- For continuous fit-to-content labels, as characters are typed, the label is zoomed to fit the entire label. The label preview remains visible beneath the text entry input area so users can always see what they type.
- Supporting background printing. If the user starts printing and then the ELM application goes into the background printer still prints all the labels.
- We added a new font by the name of "Brady Fixed Width Condensed" to ELM. Brady Fixed Width Condensed is the default font for all new installs on all printers.
- Added 40-point font size.
- We are now capturing the M611 serial number in Google Analytics.
