I am getting an error message which reads "No ribbon installed".
There are three possible causes for this error.
1. No ribbon cartridge is installed, or the ribbon cartridge is installed incorrectly.
Install a ribbon cartridge or ensure the ribbon cartridge is installed correctly.
Press [CLEAR/ESC] to clear the error message.
2. The circuit board (memory device) on the ribbon cartridge is damaged
Try using a different ribbon cartridge
Press [CLEAR/ESC] to clear the error message.
3. The contacts on the printer for reading the ribbon cartridge are damaged.
The printer may need to come in for evaluation.
