The Font Settings menu in Setup allows changing the font type (typeface), font styles such as Bold, Italic, or Underline, and setting the font units to points or millimeters.
- The BMP51 offers 2 font types when printing standalone (without PC connection): Brady Alpine and Brady Fixed Width.
- The M510 has Brady Alpine Slash 0, Brady Alpine No Slash 0, Brady Fixed Width Slash 0, and Brady Fixed With No Slash 0.
- Font changes must be made before creating a label. Changing the font typeface will not affect an existing label.
Changing the Font Typeface
- Select the Function Key (left of Space) and press Setup.
- Use the arrow keys to navigate to Font Settings. Press Enter.
- Highlight the Typeface option using the arrow keys, press Enter to expand the dropdown menu.
- Use the navigational arrows to highlight font. Press Enter to select the Typeface.
- Use the navigational arrows to highlight OK and press Enter.
You must turn the printer off, turn the printer on, and FN + Clear All for the new font to take effect.
Can I Load Additional Fonts Into the Printer?
No, however printing from software on a PC allows the printer to use any font installed in your Windows operating system.
