Issue

The A/C power cable should not be plugged into the machine when using Standard "AA" Alkaline batteries. This is only possible when using the AA battery compartment adapter. It will cause the batteries to heat up an diminish their ability to power the machine. Even if the batteries in the shell are rechargeable, they will not charge and will become unusable. The result will end up damaging the printer, the batteries, or most likely both. Only use the A/C power cable when using the rechargeable Lithium Ion battery or no battery is installed.
