Issue/Symptoms
The display on the BMP41 is displaying the message Head Over Temp. These messages may display as "Head over temp", "head temperature outside of range" or "BMP41 too hot".
Cause - The print head is too hot or too cold.
Corrective Action - Print head has reached maximum operating temperature. Let print head cool down for approximately 10 minutes, then re-initiate print job.
- Note: This same error message is displayed if the unit is too cold and isn't at operating temperature. The operating temperature of the unit is 40 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. If the printer is stored below this temperature range and then powered on the message will appear until the printer is warmed up to the operating temperature.
Firmware version 1.4 changed the message to read " Head Temperature Outside Range" to reflect that the temperature could be both above or below the operating temperature range of the printer.
