Issue

The LCD screen on the BMP41, BMP51, M410 and M510 reads " File incompatible with installed media." 

Cause

 
  1. A label file was designed for media that is not currently installed. For example the label was created on a Die Cut label and now Continuous material is installed. 
  2. When printing a file from history, the error message will tell you the compatible cartridge.
  3. When printing from the file list, the cartridge part number will not be known. 

Corrective Action
 
  1. Install the media that the file was created for or a similar cartridge.
 
  1. If the message on the printer does not specify a cartridge, try swapping a cartridge with continuous labels for one with pre-sized labels, or vice versa.
