After loading the BBP72 printer and closing the printhead, the unit will calibrate to the installed material every time a print job is sent and whenever the FEED key is pressed. It will always feed out approximately six inches of blank label material to calibrate. This is due to the distance between the two printheads in the unit, and there is nothing that can be done to change this.
This printer is designed for those who do high volume sleeve printing, who accept the label waste is less costly than the time it takes to print one side, cut the sleeves (having some blank sleeves here too), reload them, and print the other side.
