Upgrading the BBP12 Firmware
In order to upgrade the firmware of your BBP12 you will need access to a PC and the Diagnostic Tool: BBP11 and BBP12 - Diagnostic Tool Download.
Note: The currently installed firmware version is displayed on the lower right of the LCD above the feed button on the home screen.
- The latest firmware available will be hosted on BradyID, version 2.06 is attached to this article. Right click and extract the zipped firmware file.
- Open the Diagnostic Tool with the printer connected via USB.
- Select the "Command Tool" tab.
- Select "Send File" on the lower left.
- Navigate to the unzipped firmware file and select it.
- The BBP12 LCD screen will turn white, wait for the printer to return to the home screen. The upgrade is now complete.
Important: The printer will continue to try and update the firmware if you do not remove the USB once the upgrade is complete.
