Product Information
The USB to Serial Converter that is offered by Brady to specifically work with our portable printers is the QVS, Model UR-2000M2 adapter.
Other Converters may or may or may not work using the same steps defined in the attached document. It will be dependent on the specifications of that converter.
Using a Serial to USB Adapter with Brady Printers
Attached are the instructions to setup the converter and print from Labelmark software to Brady portable printers.
- The TLS2200 printer instructions are if you are printing from Labelmark 4 or below to a TLS2200 (not a TLS PC Link, which is a different printer).
- Labelmark 4 and below used an internal TLS2200 print driver.
- Labelmark version 5 and above, requires a Windows print driver for the TLS2200 to be installed. This driver can be downloaded from www.bradyid.com
- For the Wraptor usb to serial adapter:
NOTE: This adapter is successful with Brady portable printers: TLS2200, TLSPC Link, Handimark, Labxpert, and the IDXpert and the Wraptor Printer Applicator.
Experience shows that Belkin brand adapters often don't work.
