Body | When printing the print output quality is poor. This could be caused for a number of reasons.
Cause The power that is being supplied to the printer may be lower than required to correctly heat the print head, causing faint print. Batteries or battery pack may be worn out and not properly holding a charge. (Battery pack is only compatible with BMP21-Plus and BMP21-LAB)
Corrective Action On the BMP21 printer, you can simply switch to the AC adapter or replace the batteries.
On the BMP21-PLUS or BMP21-LAB, while using the Li-ion battery, verify that you are removing the battery from the printer and plugging it directly into the AC adapter. If that does not make a difference, or you do not have a Li-ion battery, you can switch to the AC adapter or replace the batteries.
*PLEASE NOTE* There is a chance that the Li-ion battery will deteriorate over time. The lithium-ion battery life is approximately one to three years, depending on its use and care.
Cause Dust or adhesives accumulated on the print head causing inconsistencies in print quality.
Corrective Action Follow the instructions below to clean the print head and platen roller.
Cause Inconsistencies within the material cartridge.
Corrective Action There is the chance that there may be something wrong with either the ribbon or the labels in the installed cartridge. If available, replace the cartridge in the printer.
Cause Temperature can affect the print on the labels.
Corrective Action The operating temperature of the unit is 40 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. The storage temperature of the unit is 0 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. |
